Tsuukai-sama is the lead singer of Shounen Jesus. Along with his best friend Kazuma, Tsuukai started the band.  Ladies prepare to swoon - He's got a GREAT voice.  He plays guitar on the side. He is the indisputable brains of this operation.  His sincere desire to become a world renowned musician is the one things that keeps him going when things get tough.  Tsuukai has the talent  of pointing out the obvious and he doesn't mind letting someone know they're wrong.  When he's not writing Shounen Jesus' awesome songs lyrics you might find him plastered to the T.V. or listening to his huge CD collection of classic rock.

Tsuukai's parents are very traditional Nihonjin, his father is a kabuki actor while his mother does the stage make up.  They always wanted their only son to be successful in the theater arts like them, marry a wholesome Nihonjin girl, and have a happy, traditional life.  Tsuukai wants to show them that he can be happy outside their perfect vision and that most of the country has gone modern.  The band means the most to him because, to him, he feels as if he has the most to prove to both his parents and himself.  Tsuukai takes the group seriously and is probably the most disappointed when they don't succeed.
